MESSAGES TO CBS/PARAMOUNT

Here are some pre-written emails and letters you can send to let Paramount and CBS know you are unhappy with their policies and decisions. Simply copy/paste or use it as a starting point to write your own message.

GO VIRAL - YOU MAY WIN A T-SHIRT!

Mayday in America is giving away handcrafted, custom T-shirts to our followers who cancel Paramount+ and spread the word.

First, on Friday May 22, cancel Paramount+, and share what you did, with the hashtag #Mayday in America, on whichever social media platforms you use.

Bonus points if you go on camera and say,
“I canceled Paramount+ to stop White House Corruption.”
But importantly, we need those hashtags to locate and reward you.

EMAIL VERSION 1: Direct and Firm

Subject: I Am Done With CBS!

To CBS and Paramount leadership,

I do not currently subscribe to Paramount+, so I cannot cancel it on May 22.

But I want to be clear: if I did subscribe, I would cancel.

Instead, I am dropping CBS.

I will not watch CBS programming. I will not support CBS shows. I will not support companies that advertise on CBS. And I will encourage others to do the same.

CBS and Paramount have made a choice. You settled a baseless lawsuit with Donald Trump, gutted respected news institutions, and are now removing one of Trump’s most visible critics from the air.

That is not just a business decision. It is capitulation.

I believe free speech matters. I believe journalism matters. I believe corporations should not reward political intimidation, government pressure, or corruption.

So I am making my choice too.

I am done with CBS.

Until CBS and Paramount stop rewarding political pressure and stop punishing critics, I will boycott your network, your programming, and your sponsors.

Sincerely,

[Your Name]

EMAIL VERSION 2: Shorter Version

Subject: If i had Paramount+, I would cancel today!

To CBS and Paramount leadership,

I do not currently subscribe to Paramount+, so I cannot cancel it on May 22.

But I want to be clear: if I did subscribe, I would cancel.

Instead, I am dropping CBS.

EMAIL VERSION 3: Stronger, More Movement-Oriented

Subject: I Am Joining the CBS Boycott

To CBS and Paramount leadership,

I do not currently subscribe to Paramount+, so I cannot cancel the service on May 22. But if I had it, I would cancel it.

Instead, I am taking the action available to me.

I will stop watching CBS. I will avoid CBS shows. I will boycott the sponsors I see advertising on your network. And I will encourage friends, family, and followers to do the same.

CBS once stood for serious journalism, public trust, and independence. But Paramount and CBS have chosen a different path. You settled with Donald Trump. You weakened CBS News. You allowed political pressure to reshape your programming. And now Stephen Colbert is being removed from the air.

I do not accept that.

Corporations should not be rewarded for capitulating to political intimidation. Networks should not profit from silencing critics. Media companies should not treat democracy as a bargaining chip.

Since I cannot cancel Paramount+, I am canceling CBS from my life.

Sincerely,

CBS and Paramount Leadership,

I am writing to inform you that I am boycotting CBS.

I do not currently subscribe to Paramount+. If I did, I would cancel it on May 22 along with the many others taking part in the Mayday in America action.

Since I cannot cancel Paramount+, I am taking the action available to me.

I will no longer watch CBS programming. I will no longer support CBS shows. I will avoid companies that advertise on CBS, and when possible, I will let those sponsors know why.

CBS and Paramount have made a series of choices that I cannot support. You settled with Donald Trump. You weakened CBS News. You allowed political pressure to shape the future of your network. And now Stephen Colbert, one of Trump’s most visible critics, is being removed from the air.

That sends a message.

My boycott sends one back.

I believe in free speech. I believe in independent journalism. I believe corporations should not profit from capitulating to political intimidation or rewarding corruption.

Until CBS and Paramount change course, I am done with CBS.

Sincerely,
